Website Accessibility
Included on every Webtricity website
Webtricity website templates are built and refined to be fully accessible to everyone, including visitors who might be restricted to a keyboard or depend on assistive technology to navigate and utilize a website.
We design and code our templates to comply with the latest version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
WCAG includes many guidelines and recommendations for how to structure a website to be accessible, including concerns like ensuring:
Our templates also include a page about accessibility that is intended to be helpful to your website visitors and includes all of the options for communicating with your business (phone, email, text message, etc.). We encourage you to add content to this page to include the accommodations specific to your business such as:
We use manual testing, automated testing, and website accessibility evaluation tools to ensure our templates are accessible. If you discover an accessibility problem or an opportunity for improvement, please let us know by sending an email to support [at] webtricity [dot] com.
To help you keep your website accessible when you change it from its original state, Webtricity includes accessibility-related suggestions when choosing website colors. We also have help pages explaining different aspects of accessibility, and we're always available to answer your website accessibility questions.
Because Webtricity allows you to add your own HTML and javascript, you can use add a 3rd party accessibility widget to your website. We don't recommend any of the ones we are familiar with at this time though, as they are merely a "quick fix" and don't address many of the accessibility concerns that users of assistive technology face.
Website accessibility is included in these Webtricity plans:
No contracts. No coding. No headaches.
